Who am I? Does anyone really know who they are? We try to figure out what we want and who we are throughout life, but I don't necessary believe that there's a specific answer we could find. I believe that our experiences shape us into who we are today, and that we change over time. The people we surround ourselves with influence our behaviors and our interests change. People have set stereotypes of specific kinds of people. For example just because I'm skinny people may think I'm anorexic, but in fact I'm just a very active person. I'm a dancer with a fast metabolism who happens to eat every hour of the day. I tend to have a lot of guy friends because they usually carry less drama, but others may suspect that I'm a slut. Should what others think and their opinions of myself change my mind about who I think I am? I know it's very hard not to take others remarks into consideration and hard to erase what they said, but in reality It's up to you to decide who you want to be, and just know who you are and don't be afraid to be different.
We have thoughts in our head much like the picture underneath such as I'm not smart enough, not good enough, not pretty enough. We see the negative aspects of ourselves because It's so easy to criticize yourself and others instead of being positive, thinking that you're amazing, that you could become someone, make a difference and that your existence matters. In the mirror what do you see? Because what I see is a beautiful talented young women. Yes, at times this changes. We all have bad days but you have to think on the bright side. It could always be worse, you just have to make the best of what you have and let yourself shine. I don't like being labeled. For example just because I'm a cheerleader or part of a sorority it doesn't mean I don't like sports like football, or love tattoos and listen to sad music. You can't define me but here's a little bit about myself. I"m confused at times of where I"m going in life, but life is not certain we will never know where it'll take us. I like to go with the flow, and always up for anything. I'm very competitive but at the same time I love helping others. I could be your best friend or your worst enemy if you ever betray me. I love with all my heart, and I get a little crazy at times. I'm quite random and say the silliest things but that's just me. Some people will take me for who I am and some people will love to hate, but you have to use your judgement to find out who you need to distance yourself from and who deserve to be apart of your life.
I was a little nervous about taking a Saturday class, but after the first day I'm extremely excited to see what's to come. The class seems like a lot of fun, very interesting, and an opportunity to learn a lot! I can't wait to see you all on Saturday, have a wonderful week.
