I think.....I am

There are a few questions that are easy to ask but tough to answer. For some reason I fear those questions, and it’s a reason why I also fear interviews. Who do I think I am? I think the answer depends when and where the question is being ask.

I think..I am a student in search of a future, at times I find myself very confused, what am I studying? What do I want to be? Am I taking the right direction? I was always fascinated by t Forensic Science, and mostly Forensic Psychiatry. To this day I haven’t lost my interest but I chose a different path that also excites me and regardless of all the confusion, I feel at rest whenever I think of myself in the Media career.

My curiosities lies in the truth of the medium, I hope to work as a journalist and feel overjoyed picturing myself as one. I have written for the school newspaper, in high school and in my previews college as well. My interest lies in the interest of the reader. I enjoy writing about topics that are not touched upon or given importance to, while at the same time it is a topic of public interest. I believe that there is information in the medium being hidden from the public. Also on the other hand “we,” the audience are being feed false information at times. But the public rely and educate from these information.

According to the SPJ (Society of Professional Journalism) Code of Ethics, journalist should “Test the accuracy of information from all sources” to avoid any false information. The media has enormous power, they are the eyes with which the public see through and gain knowledge from. The “voice” of the medium must be accurate and make good use of its power.

This is a article that I wrote for the Bridge at LaGuardia Community College.
